An Introvert's Winter LifeSong
A poem about healing a wounded self and embracing the lessons hidden in life's painful and defining moments.
We must cease our old lives for a time, in order to blossom into something new.
-Julianne Harvey
Healing happens in the stillness after a winter storm,
When wisdom filters through the cracks, a gentle, warming form.
Casting a soft light in your broken, shadowed places,
She calls you out of hiding, from shame’s entangled traces.
Releasing you from shame’s harsh, unforgiving hold,
Weaving comfort through grief and, a story to unfold.
As a new day slowly dawns she beckons to the sun,
To feel its warmth upon your frame, where healing’s work is done.
She softly whispers ancient truths, unheard amidst the noise,
Unveiling the mystery of true self, and all it’s quiet joys.
She leads you to a gentle stream, where sunlight’s diamonds gleam,
Dancing with your dreams, a hopeful, vibrant theme.
Storms can break you in the most unexpected ways,
But when you let wisdom in through life’s bewildered maze,
She’ll piece you back together - not as you were before,
But as your whole self, worthy, loved, secure, and evermore.
She’ll urge you to remember you’re beautifully flawed and free,
always evolving, growing stronger, wild and peacefully.
Growth happens quietly in the secret places of your soul.
-Glynis Klein
Growth happens quietly, in the soul’s most secret space,
Now there’s no more hiding, you’re embraced by grace.
To let your winter life song echo, through the nations far and wide,
Because just maybe, your winter story, will help another soul’s darkness flee.
